Every form casts a shadow before it casts light.  Kivuli is the Uwezo mark stripped of softness and rebuilt in weight - the same continuous line, the same figure that loops back into itself, but now pulled into darkness, textured like something unearthed rather than drawn.  

This piece holds the part of the journey rarely shown: the compression before the becoming.  The gold thread running through the black isn't decoration - it' the potential still present even in the dimmest version of the self, the proof that what looks buried is still structured, still whole, still capable of catching light.  Kivuli doesn't resolve the tension between shadow and power; it holds both at once, the way growth actually happens - not as clean ascent, but as something worked, pressed, and textured into being.
